SikaPaver®-20 SB

Compaction aid for semi-dry concrete with good mold filling properties

SikaPaver® SB-20 is a compaction aid which has been designed to economically improve the compaction of semi-dry concretes at elevated water-cement-ratios while ensuring good mold filling properties. The resulting reduced compaction pore content leads to a higher quality level with less fluctuations.

Shelf life

12 months from date of production if stored properly in undamaged unopened, original container.

Storage conditions

Store in undamaged, unopened, original sealed packaging in dry conditions
at temperatures between +5 °C and +35 °C. Protect from direct sunlight and frost.
Note: When delivered in bulk, the tanks and equipment used must be free from contaminants

Compatibility

Before use suitability tests must be performed.

Sufficient compaction of base and face concrete while in parallel avoinding capillary porosity is essential to ensure the targeted performance parameters of the manufactured semi-dry concrete elements.

The use of SikaPaver® SB-20 in wet cast concrete is not suitable.

Dispensing

SikaPaver® SB-20 shall be added with the mixing water or introduced at the end of the mixing process.

The necessary mixing time after the admixture dosage depends on the individual mixer.
Consumption

Recommended dosage

0.2 – 0.6 % of binder weight (cement and fly ash)
