Sika® ViscoCrete®-1000 WP

Multi-purpose Superplasticizer / High Range Water-Reducing Admixture

Sika Viscocrete® 1000 WP is a new generation, non-chlorinated, acrylic copolymer
superplasticizer / high-range water-reducing admixture.

Sika Viscocrete® 1000 WP combines several actions. Adsorption to the surface of
the cement and separation of fines particles during the hydration process give the
following properties :
  •  Very high water reduction (consequently high waterproofing and resistances).
  •  High fluidity (consequently easier application).
  •  High short term resistance.
  •  High waterproofing improvement.
  •  Better creeps and shrinkage behaviour.
  •  Lower carbonation speed.
Sika Viscocrete® 1000 WP does not contain any chloride or other component which
could cause or increase steel corrosion. It can be used without restriction for
reinforced or prestressed concrete constructions

Usage

The product must be stored in original,unopened and undamaged sealed
packaging in dry conditions at temperature between 5°C and 35 ºC. Protect

Application time

Sika Viscocrete®
1000 WP is added either at the same time as the mixing water or
at a later stage to concrete that has been pre-moistened with a part of the mixing water.
Consumption

Recommended dosage

Recommended dosage:

  • 0.2 to 3% of the cement weight depending on performances required.
  • Usual dosage: 0.4 to 1.5% of the binder weight.
