Sika® ViscoCrete®-300 Tempo

HIGH RANGE WATER REDUCING ADMIXTURE

Sika® ViscoCrete®-Tempo 300 is a 3rd generation polymer
based high performance superplasticizer for producing
soft consistency high grade concrete.
Sika® ViscoCrete®-Tempo 300 meets the requirements
of ASTM C 494 Type G.

Sika® ViscoCrete®-Tempo 300 combines different
modes of actions. By adsorption on the surface of the
fine cement grains and keeping them apart while the
hydration is in progress, Sika® ViscoCrete®-Tempo 300
effects the following concrete properties:
  •  Extremely high water reduction
  • Producing very soft consistency and suitable for long distance pumping
  • High flowability (considerably reduced placing and compacting work)
  • Workability can be maintained up to 120 minutes (still depends on admixture dosage, cement type temperature)
  •  Highly improved waterproofness
  • Improved creep and shrinkage resistance characteristics
  • Sika® ViscoCrete®-Tempo 300 contains neither chlorides nor other corrosion-inducing substances and can therefore be used without any restrictions for reinforced and prestressed concrete structures.

Usage

Sika® ViscoCrete®-Tempo 300 is mainly suitable for the
manufacture of concrete for RMC and precast batching
plants.
Sika® ViscoCrete®-Tempo 300 excels by its extremely
high water reduction capacity, providing good flow
ability while retaining optimal cohesion of the mix.
Sika® ViscoCrete®-Tempo 300 is used for the following
types of concrete:
  • High-strength / high performance cast on site concrete
  •  High strength bored piles
  •  Bridges and cantilever
  •  Slender components with dense reinforcement

Compatibility

Sika® ViscoCrete®-Tempo 300 may be combined with all Sikament®,  and Sika®
Aer products, but must be added separately
to the mix and not pre-mixed prior its addition.
Sika® ViscoCrete®-Tempo 300  is compatible with all cement types.
Technical Information

Concreting guidance

Concrete placing: With the use of Sika® ViscoCrete®-Tempo 300, concrete
of highest quality is being produced, however state of the art Concrete
technology, such as mixing, placing vibrating and curing must be respected
and applied.
Curing: Effective measures for concrete curing must be followed. Use of
Sika curing compounds is advisable.
Sika® ViscoCrete®-Tempo 300, is suitable for concrete to be steam cured.
