Sika® Intraplast® Z

Expanding Admixture For Injection, Mortar and Concrete

Sika® Intraplast® Z is a powder injection, mortar and concrete admixture that produces wet volume expansion and increased fluidity without segregation by introducing micro bubbles into the mix.

Usage

Sika® Intraplast® Z causes the cement mixture to expand before setting. The swelling is caused by extremely regular formation of densely distributed tiny gas bubbles consisting of inert hydrogen. Product is used generally following applications
  • Prestressed cable ducts
  • Rock and soil anchoring
  • Bearing plates
  • Pre-placed aggregates
  • Tunnel linings

Shelf life

12 months from date of production if stored properly in original and unopened packaging.

Storage conditions

In dry conditions at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C. Protect from direct sunlight and frost.

%2 by weight of cement (1 kg Intraplast-Z for 50 kg cement)
Application steps

MIXING

Add directly to the cement/water mix in the mixer. Sand may be added as required. 

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened / cured material can only be removed mechanically.
